Hi guys, I just managed to build my first computer!  Everything went well and I'm pleased with the result.  There is one problem, however.

 

The hard drive seems to be inaccessible.  By this I mean that it shows up as recognized in the bios and device manager as fine but when I open up the computer directory, It doesn't show up.  It is a Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB HDD.  Luckily, I can still use this computer since the OS is installed on an SSD.  The SSD is fine but the HDD is nowhere to be found.  Do you suppose the drive is just DOA?

You may have a bad HDD, I honestly do not have much expertise with things of this nature but I would suggest trying the HDD in a different system around your house if you can.

yes follow the steps to format it and assign the drive letter 

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
