Memory not Working on Certain Slots

So I bought 16gb of corsair dom plat (1866Mhz), and tried to install it on my Z97 Sabertooth Mk1. At first I tried dual channel and it failed, then i tried a single stick and it worked. So i tested the same stick on the other slot and it failed. I've done the same step on every slot and only two work, and they aren't the same color. What happens with the RAM is when i boot up it starts everything, but no image goes up, then suddenly it goes off, then it goes back on automatically.
