Sooo, I bought 2  2x8Gb Corsair Dominator Platinum , so I would have 32Gb of RAM, beacuse the 4x8Gb packs were out of stock, but I just saw this video:

So now I understand that what I bought is a dual channel RAM, but if I put 4 sticks of RAM that would cause stability problems or something.

Can someone clarify this to me?  Thanks!

It will work fine. More than likely your board doesn't even support quad channel ram--so this will be the best performance you can get anyway.

But I have a Maximus 6 Formula, that should support quad channel, no?

nope, only dual channel.

Just to clarify, most board don't support quad channel ram, but you can still use more than 2 stick on a board that supports dual channel. All dual/tri/quad channel means is that the ram works together seamlessly to get an extra boost.

So, in dual channel 2 8gb sticks will be marginally faster than 1 16gb stick.
