Are you sure your onboard can't deliver that punch? Are you sure it's not the 598 that simply doesn't have that punch you're looking for? Meaning, have you actually test your 598 on other (maybe somebody else's) system, and got that punch, but you don't get it with your onboard?

 

Cheap but decent amp/DAC would be the Syba DAC. Or if you only need the amp, just get the Fiio E6.

I mean its not load enough, had a soundcard(no pci room for it any more hence wanting to get a amp / dac)

Basically what @SSL said, if you want a really cheap solution that will still give great sound, I suggest a fiio e6 + d3 dac, or a syba amp+dac from amazon for like $40.

Some open headphones have really nice bass, but only a select few really have the rumble and punch that's enjoyable to many.

If it's not loud enough, then yeah, get an amp. Budget oriented one would be the Fiio E6. 1 step higher would be the E11
