What other options like AntLion's modmic 4.0 are avaliable? It doesn't have to be that style but good microphones in price range of 50$.

50$? No idea. Zalman mic is cheap and good, check some demos on youtube. There is Audio Technica Lavalier mic 3350 i think, but i am not sure you need some hardware to drive it... but its very good sensitive mic with outstanding quality even for professional use.

Blue snowball mic is amazing! But i think it might have gone up since when i bought it for closer to 50. Its 60$ for the brushed aluminum on amazon. Its a desk mic though but good enough that people actually use it for music production.

V-moda and beyerdynamic both have one where you plug into the detachable cable socket but does not fit on every headphone. You can also make a mod with a zalman clip on.
