No needed to oc your cpu but you might as well with an unlocked cpu.

Your warranty should be fine as long as you don't touch the firmware or physically modify your graphics card.

The performance increase can definitely be noticeable especially if oc'ing gets you over the hump of 'somewhat playable' to smooth gameplay.

Even a golden 280x oc would be far from a 290x. The average oc is more like the difference between the 280x and 7950 in the chart below:

Do you need more performance in games? If so, overclock the GPU and the CPU.

No, it doesn't void warranty as long as you don't load a custom BIOS.

Linus has a video about OCing CPU's, not sure about GPU's

Yes, you will notice a gain in FPS

Nobody knows what kind of an overclock you will get. But, I HIGHLY doubt you'll get 290x performance from OCing a 280X. You'd have to get a golden card for that.

Ok so i ran an overlock that was this,

+50 Voltage

+20 Power limit (MAX)

Core Clock 1097 MHz

Memory clock 1726 MHz

Fan speed 45%

And got This file:///C:/Overclocking%20Benchmarks/Unigine_Heaven_Benchmark_4.0_20140620_1638.html On unique heven Extreme preset with temps at 72 Degrees MAX temp.

I got this when i ran with default settings.file:///C:/Overclocking%20Benchmarks/Overclock%20Off.html

Shall i stick with this overclock?

Thanks
