so in case i dont get my new gaming PC i was wondering if the a10 7850k with 2133 mhz+ (i will oc) ram will be faster than my radeon 6670.. i wont even bother asking for cpu because there is no question. thank you :)

GCN, 512 stream processors (7750) and GCN is much more efficient.

the iGPU in the A10-7850 is placed somewhere between the R7 250X and R7 250

and fast system is important since the iGPU uses system RAM as VRAM so 2133MHz is the optimal speed

to allow the iGPU to access the system RAM, you can set the memory allocation in the BIOS

Hello, just wanted to ask, what will happen to the iGPU of the a10-7850k when a dedicated GPU is added?

Will the iGPU become like part of the CPU that will help it on processing?

the iGPU will be auto disabled

HSA is suppose to allow the internal GPU cores in the APU to work like a CPU to do processing making the APU a 12 compute core monster

but provided OpenCL coding is used in the programs

You get the a10... later you upgrade theres a few scenarios that can happen...

low end graphics card R7250+A10=4core cpu+2 R7250's in Crossfire essentially+Mantle capabilities

higher end graphics card GTX 780+A10=4core cpu+780

higher end graphics card(in programs with HSA) GTX 780+A10=12core cpu+780

There aren't any good CPU's for $60.

why u need good cpu for gaming?

is it faster with 2133+ mhz ram?

for the APU?

yes faster is better but 2133MHz is the sweetspot

So you don't get 4 fps and have en extreme bottleneck.

omg don't even talk about bottlenecks my god, in today's time their basically is no such thing as bottlenecks, the worse that will happen when using a budgeted cpu is a decrease of about 1-5 fps, omg that 5fps is going to really kill you right?

Depending on the game of course, try running games of a $65 A6 6400K and a R270 you won't have a good time.

Bottlenecking is always something to consider when giving advice  :).

because thats a bloody apu not a cpu,,,(sometime i get annoyed) my mates running a r9 290x with a 750k and he's having a wonderful time with his 3 1080p monitors.

correction the A6 6400K was a weak dual core APU to begin with

if you are using APU for gaming purpose, ppl should be looking at the A10 series which is a quad core

Some guy earlier said get a $150 R9 270 and a $60 CPU (or APU, it still has a CPU in the die). So I used this scenario...

And good for your friend but I'm sure a lot of people will experience bottlenecking running a 290X and a 750K. It all depends on the game(s) so it's still important to take bottlenecks into consideration when recommending hardware.

the issue is that in PCPartPicker

pretty much everyone there are bashing users of the APU systems esp those paired with a GPU

first they keep saying it will bottleneck when the APU in question is the A10-7850K...

and they just blindly say the FX6300 will be faster when it already a dead platform which AMD officially have ditched for FM2+

and they don't understand the potential of the HSA and TrueAudio which comes with the new APU

and those who back the APU builds get down votes

no there is a diff between a $60 cpu and apu, and for sure a 750k will bottleneck a r9 290x but a r9 270x you will hardly notice.
