I was just wondering when ddr4 comes out and will there be new z97 boards to support it or will there be a whole new chipset

It will require a new CPU, not a new chipset. Intel (and AMD as far as I know) put the memory controller on the CPU some time ago (When the I series was released, and probably AM2 socket for AMD). Highly unlikely that INtel or AMD will release current gen boards on DDR4, as it is not needed and will be quite expensive (much the same way as DDR3 when released) .

who really knows, it will probably be late 2014 at the earliest, but more like the summer of 2015.

and yes of course there will be new mobos with new chipsets, or else how would the ram fit in and work properly? -_-

and a word of advice, makeing the title longer will get more peoples attention
