Good 'next' step

Hello again! To preface this: over the last 4-5 days I have been posting threads mainly towards bottlenecking. The response has been remarkable however I have basically figured out my next step: Go with an intel socket and CPU (gigabyte g1 Z97mx mobo, i7 4770k). Alas with so many things (I am newb) I have no idea if that board will fit in my case: ThermalTake V3 Black? Thanks for any response! Good day gents

Will fit and work without a doubt, why not go for a refreshed Haswell chip? i5 4690K or the i7 4790K.

The board will be just fine OCing, it's more about the chip you get and the cooling you have.

Is the i7 4790k more expensive? I am getting these components off a Canadian website and that is relatively small (extreme-pc.ca) and idk if he will have a 4790k but I do know he has a 4770k
