What is the connector type, VGA/DVI? is the input on the monitor set to the correct input?

could it possibly be the motherboard or cpu ? and btw this doesnt have on board graphics.

Try running your computer without the power cords in your GPU, this will help decide if the motherboard is working properly and also if the GPU is being detected (it will ask you to plug power the GPU if working properly). But if it doesn't this doesn't mean that the issue is the motherboard as it could be the cable or in fact the monitor. I do not believe the above method has any detrimental affects but please correct me if I am wrong.

OK so a difference i see now there there is no light near the ram area and there used to be should i keep changing around the ram could it be faulty or not specified to my motherboard it was working fine before

If you could give your mobo and RAM models we may be able help in that regard.

Please use quote function... I can't be checking the topic every time :P

Red light? Is the PCIe power cable plugged in properly?

OK, again... what's your MB?

the red light is because i checked to see if mobo detected the gpu and would tell me to connect the cables and the model number is ep35-ds3l for the mobo

Are you serious!? Another person with the same mobo ._.

I meant the red light of the GPU (if there's one), that means that can get enough power (but it may dead)

Also I think that in that mb when you boot all the ram/cpu leds stay on for a while

lol but i know what you ment by the graphics card having enough power it does get enough because there is a green led where the expansion slots are its a feature on the graphics card to let me know if it has enough power i was talking about the leds on the mobo near the ram and im using a celeron processor by the way i think the e3200 i just put on fresh thermal paste if that tells you anything
