So as the title states here's the questions I'm hoping someone can answer:

1. Good settings for an i5 3570k

2. Is 4.2 Jiggahertz at 1.2 Volts a good overclock?

3. Is my Corsair H60 enough to cool a higher overclock?

If you guys need more info like idle and load temps I can get them. Hopefully someone can help me out here.

I haven't used a 3570k before, but I do know that 1.2v at 4.2ghz should be fine, but 1.25v should carry you up to 4.5ghz and still be stable.

According to benchmarks, the H60 can cool the i7-3770k at 4.6ghz and stay at 70c. You will be fine with a 3570k.

Build: CPU: Intel Core i5 4690k | CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo | Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5 | RAM: 8GB G-Skill Ares 1600Mhz CL9 | Storage: 120GB Samsung 840 Evo + WD Blue 1TB 64MB Cache + Seagate Barracuda 2TB 64MB Cache | GPU: MSI GTX 960 | Case: Cooler Master Storm Enforcer | Power Supply: EVGA 600B Non-Modular |

1) Depends on your chip. There are no such thing as good settings. If you are lucky, you can get 4.5-4.7ghz with 1.2 volts. If you are not lucky,it might need even more for only 4.0ghz ;)

2) it's  decent.

3)the H60 is a decent cooler. I believe it can handle up to 1.29-1.30 volts.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask me. I got the same cpu.

1. There is not perfect setting for it. Just strive for around 4.2-4.4GHz and adjust the voltage as needed (Keep it below 1.3V)

2. That's about average. On my 3570K I get 4.4GHz on 1.16V but each chip is different.

3. As long as you temperatures stay in a comfortable range (Under 80C when running stress tests) the cooler is fine. (I use a Hyper 212 EVO with my OCed 3570K.)

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M

Good settings would be 4.5 with 1.2V. But firstly, read all of the guides you can about your bios before you start overclocking

4.2 with 1.2v sucks lol. But some times you get unlucky

No, a slim single rad is not enough for higher overclocks, should do 4.2-4.4 though.

I have my 3570K at 4.5 with 1.24 volts. What kind of cooling do you have?
