I might recommend running a little bit different memory for your application, it won't cost you more, in fact you'll save a few bucks.

I like G-Skill because they make some very good bang for the buck memory not to mention it's very good quality and the latency's are excellent.

It will help your i7 benefit from it's speed whereas the corsair ram you picked might bottleneck the CPU's performance.

Here is the first option: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f32133c9d16gtx I personally use this ram and it's great not to mention that it's stylish as well as functional with the massive heatsink. 2133 will be faster than 1600 and will increase transfer speeds.

Second option: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f317000cl9q16gbzh This is good ram as well, and Linus even recommends it a lot  ;). Also having 4 banks of 4 GB memory will actually be even faster than two 8GB because it fills, caps and dumps faster/sooner than the 8GB ram.

I would understand if you'd want to stick with the corsair for color scheme reasons though..

Thanks mate! You've given me food for thought. The first lot would kinda clash in a huge way. Now if it came in either plain black or grey and black I'd snap it up and swap it. As for the other, well, it is mostly black, I don't really know. I'll have to give it some thought.

Thanks for that! :D

BTW, I don't have many posts do I? :P

EDIT: I think that I'd rather like to stick with corsair for, as you stated, colour scheme reasons. I'm still grateful for the suggestion though. By the way, I'm going with the 2x8 config to give me options for adding another 2x8 later on down the track. I don't like to limit myself.
