Dota 2 Player Roles Help

So Ive been playing dota and I keep on hearing about roles like support, disable, gank etc. I would like to know what the different roles are and what they do. Thank you!

support = Support

Disabler = Silencing a Hero/ Disabling their skills

Ganker = A Teamfighter Hero

Pusher = A Hero who's good to push lanes/ destroy towers

Carry = Powerful In Late Games

Jungler = A Hero who's good at farming inside Jungles

Carry: someone who....well, carries the team. I.e. someone who scaled well to mid and late games and just gets better and better at the more farmed they get. Note, there are carries who fall off after mid-ish game. 

 

Support: someone who supports the carries and the team. They buy items like wards, couriers, meks, pipes, scythe of vise, etc... 

 

Disables: heroes that have at least one stun. 

 

Gankers: usually whoever takes the middle lane wants to start roaming after lvl 5/6 or so and bank bot/top, which is why some heroes are terrible mid. 

 

Initiators: someone who has some way of starting the fight off right.

I would love to have a coach but I dont even play online because I have satellite internet with a 4000 ms ping so I only play with bots. I was just kinda curious but Im looking for a LAN center to play at online but I havent found one

Heesh how do you even browse LTT  with that speed? You gotta get an ISP fast.

I have patience but it times out 85% of the time. I live on an acreage so we cant get anything like high speed with anybody. The only options we have are dial up and satellite. It sucks a lot that I have to sacrifice internet to live on an acreage .-.

Some more detail on what has already been said:

 

Carry: Really good mid and late game if they get farm, but usually completely useless if they get shut down early game, so make sure they have an easy lane.

 

Support: Limited potential mid and late game, but good at making sure that your carries get good farm, and they don't need to get farm themselves.

What is farming? Is that going to the jungles and clearing camps? And what is feeding?

Feeding: dying a lot

farming: collecting gold/xp

Yeah, mostly gold but xp is also important.

Farming can be jungling like you said, but also sitting in lane getting last hits. Most carries tend to sit in lane in the early stages (0-15 min) and then proceed to start jungling. This is because there is more farm to be had in the jungle at higher levels as you can clear the camps quicker, and also because you're less vulnerable to ganks in the jungle.
