Airflow Problem! Im no expert.

Go to solution Solved by LogicalDrm,

Speedfan if you want to set up fan curves. HWmonitor, OpenHardwareMonitor, maybe some other too, if you only need certain percentage of full speed. Those work also with 3pins where 50% is 7V and 25% is 5V.

guys im really clueless this time around i got a h440 case almost filled with noctuas running on an asrock 970 extreme 3 . the problem is that thing will not adjust fanspeeds it will only lat me set them once from bios and not after it boots up windows. maybe its easier to explain starting with the problem. my system is too loud for my taste and i can only set casefan speeds in bios. so as im not gaming most of the time i have the fans at the second lowest settings with is fine in idle temperature wise and noise wise to but when i start gaming my msi 770 tf turns up and the thing turns into a heat blower but rebooting every time i want to game just to set the fan speeds higher so airflow is given is a real hassle so i was wondering if you guys have some options for me. the fans are all nf f-12s so most fan controllers are out of the race as they are pwm fans. buying a new motherboard i would only consider when also upgrading the cpu so thats kinda pricy. maybe some kind of software i dont know about?

im running a fx8120 cooled by a h100i on a asrock 970 extreme 3 sitting in a h440 filled up with noctuas and as i mentioned a msi 770 tf for graphics. happy to hear from you guys. what do think and what would you change in generall for best noise/performance ratio?

Download the software called "Speedfan" and see if it allows you to tweak them without having to restart your pc.

i cant at least I cant maybe im just too dumm to use. in the past there was an asrock software called extremetuner that would allow me to do that but on windows 8.1 that thing gives me instant bluescreens to the point where i cant even try running it in compatibility mode since that thing will start and therefor crash right after boot.
