A sandbox MMORPG with no starting infrastructure whatsoever. Build your own society made up of real players - survive, invent, explore.

How I see it is, Minecraft meets space. I can't really say much on it other then check it out, watch the video. What do you think of it? Would you back it? Why or why not?

Seems like a bunch of bullshit to me. Every time I've seen a Kickstarter campaign claim the same things they're claiming, it always falls far short of the massive hype they created for it. Most of the time, if not every time, they don't keep the promises they make.

Because of the ability and how it plays from what I can see. even later on it says:

Like Minecraft, players will need to create their own infrastructure to survive. Exploring the world can yield valuable resources that are used to construct inventions that improve your lifestyle in the game. Banding up with other players for protection will not only make the game easier and safer, but it can also accelerate your technological advancement as a group. Player created societies are a big part of VoidSpace.

Did I hear something about buying in-game resources with real life currency? If they do that it's gonna be pay2win for sure...

As a long time fan of the best space game series ever, Escape Velocity, I would donate organs to this idea.
