Swiftech H220 for FX 9370

So my wonder is will the Swiftech H220 had the Fx 9370 better than the Corsair H100i. I plan on getting Noctua NF-F12 fans for the H220 if I get it likewise if I have to just go with the H100i. The Swiftech looks like a beast of a water cooler so what are your thoughts and/or experiences using the Swiftech H220.

Why not just get an 8350+H220? Sorry.. I just cringe when people say 9XXx series.

Because the FX 9370 overclocks much better

FX9370 does OC better but the only reason I have one is that I got it cheap.

H220 with blow the H100i out of the water.

This is the closest I could find for a video, but the h100i and H110 are similar, but should give you a good comparison. Also, the fans the H220 come with are good, but I still replaced them with Noctua NF-F12s in Pull config and put them on my wifes Hyper 212 evo.

There are quite many faulty H220 units with pump noise issues. So you might have to do a bit of maintainance upon arrival. But if you're lucky it will just work fine.

Mine personally worked just fine out of the box. I think the pump noise is from it running at higher voltage than normal so doing a PWM controller for it and tuning it up will help lower the noise levels if its a concern.

I had a bad experience with a unit that it ordered. I used the regular CPU PWM header but the noise didn't go away what so ever (shaking the unit, tapping it, to maybe free air bubbles) and it was horrible. So i sent it back and i am converted to air cooling again until those pump-free coolers start to become usable.

Yeah the only reason I have a 9370 is because it was cheap when I got it. I kinda regret getting it because of the heat issues. I currently have a H80i and it's not cutting it. It use to hold decent when I first got it but 4-5months later came home from a vacation and now the temps reach the 80s. I've done pretty much everything people suggest. Resit it, voltages, clean it etc. The only way I can get it to stay below 60c is putting it to 4.2ghz and 1.30 vcore. But if I do that gaming sucks everything is jumpy, like rubberbanding. Amd watching youtube videos they twitch its not a smooth play like it is when my settings are default.

But a question. with the 9370, @ default 4.4ghz should the vcore be @ 1.46250? CPU/NB voltage 1.125? and DRAM voltage 1.650? I'm not an expert or close to it but those voltages seem high. I'm using the AI suite II from my Asus Crosshair V formula-Z
