Bitspower Colours - Carbon Black Vs. Matt Black

Go to solution Solved by Jogostar,

Carbon Black is slightly more Matt than Matt Black.

The difference isn't as big as these pictures show.

Title says most of it, basically. I'm looking to equip my build

HELIOS (see sig) with BP fittings in black, only I'm not yet quite

sure whether Carbon Black or Matt Black would be the better choice.

One of the problems I'm having is that I'm not actually sure what

the difference is between the two.

As an example:

Carbon Black

Matt Black

(sorry for not posting the pics directly, it seems Bitspower

have disabled hotlinking from their site.)

Now, to me, the Matt Black actually looks more like something

between satin and glossy on that picture, whereas Carbon Black

looks like what I'd describe as matt. Problem is, pictures can

be rather deceiving, and without a side-by-side comparison it's

kinda hard to tell. I've searched for comparisons, but glorious

Google is yielding me nothing. So any input from people who have

more info on this would be highly appreciated.

Aside from being able to tell the difference, the next question is

of course which will be the better fit for my build. I'll be

using them with polished copper tubing. Personally I haven't

really decided yet, but based on the pics above I'm leaning

towards the Carbon Black for now. Input on that is welcome as

well.

Thanks! :)

Thanks, just what I needed to know.

Now all that's left to do is spend all the money.

and I'm pretty sure carbon black is a tiny bit brighter black than the matt one.
