If I were to get and amp/DAC combination than what would you suggest? I would prefer the cost to be around or below 100$.

For low cost ones get a Fiio one.

Not sure if the onboard audio will be adequate. Planars are known for power hungry. Just get it first, and if the onboard isn't enough, then shop for an external solution.

Haha it looks like an iphone. Is that a good amp/DAC?

Good and cheap usually don't go well together. Fiio products are known for their good bang for bucks. But again, depending on the user's ears, it could be good enough. I used to own the E07k, but replaced it with the E10, which is better for me.

That depends. Those headphones don't necessarily need an amp but I do feel like they sound a bit better with one. If you want to spend the money on an o2 amp then go right ahead because it is pretty much the only amp you will ever need. If you can wait for the E10K that's suppose to come out later this year then that's a good option too.
