Currently, my fan config is horrid and I've been looking to correct that. I've never really dabbled in fan configuration before, so I'll need a little help.

Essentially, I want to know if this config will have a negative or positive impact on cooling:

2 x 120mm intake side panel case fans

1 x 120mm intake radiator back case fan (fan is on top of radiator pulling air from outside over the radiator and into case)

2 x 120mm exhaust top case fans

So... good or bad? Any suggestions are always appreciated! Thanks!

Without knowing what case you have.. The CFM totals of your intakes and exhaust will decide if you have positive or negative airflow. With the setup you gave, it's positive assuming the fans are the same make and model. You won't get the benefit of less dust in your case with positive air pressure if the two side panel intakes aren't filtered. Can't say if the fan config is optimal or not unless I know what case you have.

Flip rear rad to exhaust and have 1-2 of top fans intaking. Also keep the front fan and remove lower of sidepanel fans. I saw some pics on Google and that lower fan is useless unless your PSU intakes from inside the case.
