Super cheap desktop for working (AUS)

Prototype Lego case. I finished it but I got the measurements wrong so I am disassembling it and will make improvements to the layout for v2.0.

As is, it has space for a 120mm fan above the VRMs, space for 2 3.5" drives to sit snugly

I will try and find a way to fit an ATX PSU and a bigger mobo with the pieces that I have.

sorry the pictures are rotated.

It was tall enough that only about 5mm of the 3.5'' drive was visible from the side.

Also you can see where I put space for a 120mm fan, but I don't plan on closing the system up so its kind of un-necessary.

  • 3 weeks later...

Sorry guys but I don't think this is going to happen :(

I negotiated a deal for an old Optiplex + Monitor for $140 and will pick it up tomorrow.

I might end up building a Lego case for it anyway as it only has one HDD bay and requires low profile cards (the short ones)

This does give me the possibility of getting a 750 though :D
