Welp, that's great. Today I decided to try to root my tmo lg g2. I used this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701799) to root the phone, or shall I say simply going back to version 4.4.2. Upon plugging the phone into the computer and performing a file swipe, the phone is now sort of bricked where I can't do anything much, It's currently looping at the t-mobile logo and I could only turn it on and off, download mode doesn't seem to work, and this is simply done from the stock rom, so there are no backups.

Wanna hang out with me and people like @Theslsamg, @ Ssoele, @BENTHEREN, @Lanoi, @Whiskers, @_ASSASSIN_, @Looney, @WunderWuffle, and @nsyedhasan. Well.... Check out: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/48484-unofficial-linustechtips-teamschnitzel-server-teamspeak/

A boot loop can be fixed as I did it with my Nexus 4, however I can't remember how I even did it. Good luck fixing it :D.

If the logo is appearing then is not bricked, more like "semi-bricked", can you manage to enter TWRP? or you didn't get to install the custom recovery? A full system recovery should be easy, however I'm not that familiar with LG phones.

I recommend you to search in the forum because you're surely not the first, it's pretty common, or create a thread asking there. I'm a user from that community, they help a lot.

I wonder if upgrading the firmware through the lg support thingy tool, will wipe all my data and stuff.

Yeah, working around LG's security measures is pretty annoying but HTC has been far worse in the past. I'm quite sure Samsung holds that position currently.

LG support thingy tool...you mean KDZ? You really should never use KDZ unless you absolutely have to. Really.
