hard drive swap?

Hey people...

Quick one... I have a hard drive with Windows os on it and a computer then had no os on it... Can I put the hard into the computer and will it boot the os fine ?

It should work just fine. I personally have had issues with blue screening whenever I put certain hard drives in certain older computers. I'd say you may as well try because what do you lose, the 30 seconds it takes to plug in the sata connector?

I've done it, it's just windows will think that it's not a legitimate copy anymore. It gives a bunch of warnings and stuff but it runs.

Windows doesn't like being separated from it's original motherboard so it'll run but you will need to re-enter the product key.
