dead boot drive

Personally I'd get a 500GB for boot, but that's me.

 

The larger issue is what SSD was it, and is it under warranty.  Not to mention just how sure are you that it died.

 

While you are doing that, get a 500GB to boot from and work on seeing just what the deal is with that drive.

i got a whea error blue screen error and it no longer shows in the bios

A.  Cool, get the new drive, to get your machine up and running.

 

OR...

so good and annoying news i tried just reseating the M.2 drive and now things work no clue why just guess windows stuff possibly

It'd be good at some point to install CrystalDiskInfo and let it confirm the ssd has low health

well i might "promote" my current boot drive to game drive and get a new boot drive if one is correct as every other SSD at 500GB is in the 75 range

well i think the SX8100 is a decent drive

Yeah, may not be a bad idea.  Though I am loathe to spend almost 2TB money on a 500GB drive 😞

 

How old is the BIOS, btw?  May be worth updating for security features as well as improvements of device communication.

so does this mean that it has both a cache on the M.2 and HMB as on the SSD teir list it says no/unverified NANDfor it having a cache

1TB. I struggle to believe you could get a halfway decent 2TB drive for 75 quid.
