Can you share the output of

cat /proc/cmdline

and

nvidia-smi

Hello internet foure here,

I am switching my gaming pc from Windows 10 to Nobara Linux, and am having Nvidia driver problems. Nobara installs properly, but always leaves me with a 4:3 aspect ratio, which I assume is a driver problem, so I uninstall all Linux Drivers for my Nvidia GPU, reboot, and install the correct driver because Nobara does not support my Current GPU, reboot, and still have the same problem. What do I need to fix this problem?

Thanks, foure

Specs

AMD FX-6300 6-core

Nvidia Geforce 1050 TI

16 GB DDR3

Driver: 580.159.03

Nobara Linux 7.0.5/7.0.1

I have uninstalled the proprietary drivers, and Nobara autoinstalls nuveau, which, when running it, I get 1 frame per sometimes.

IIRC that's the correct driver, try add nvidia-drm.modeset=1 to the kernel parameter on boot menu.

Fixed It!

I ran nvidia-smi, and it responded, not knowing what where the driver files it was looking for were, so I reinstalled the driver, and, turns out, the driver did not install the first time, even though it said it did when I installed it the first time. Thank you all for your hard work; it is very much appreciated.
