The PCPP forums support formatting like this:

Product names are clickable, the important stuff is in nice bold font, and it easily shows your total price.

It auto-generates when you paste a correctly formatted part list in markdown format, like this. PCPP autogenerates these.

I guess the feature I’d love to see is some sort of markdown table support, but even just a way to generate tables from PCPP links would be great. As of right now you’re stuck pasting entire lists, which can be messy and hard to read. This method works fine, but better formatting would be amazing.

I just want PCPP to include more PC parts and storefronts

Why is Walmart not listed as an online retailer we can buy from? Aren't they nearly global?

I realize they are "workstation" CPUs, but more than half of threadripper isn't even on the site. Whyyyy? PCPP sucks for homelabbing

I wish they had Walmart and Microcenter. I’m given to understand there’s a reason they don’t have those retailers (with Walmart it’s because too many are scams that skew price reports, Microcenter just doesn’t want to be listed on the website), but it’s still annoying.

iirc they don’t support workstation stuff because figuring out compatibility was annoying and they got too many troll builds on the forums. Presumably the people who are buying that stuff new aren’t typically using PCPP so they don’t get affiliate kickback, they just don’t have motivation to support it. Which sucks.

It is extremely useful for build planning though even if just for compatibility checks.

Of course, I use it every time for my desktop builds. It is a great tool that just feels a little lacking

Makes sense, just a bit frustrating. I was trying to figure out compatibility for an upgrade to my homelab using old, used threadrippers but they only list but a couple of the extremely overpriced ones...

We used to embed the plain parts list when you paste a link, but then I think the forum triggered their cloudflare rules, so now the forum server can no longer reach the PCPP server, which means we are quite limited in what we can do.

The layout of the list in your screenshot looks fine to me though - it's not as pretty as the one on their own site, but it doesn't seem bad.

Walmart IS on there. They might have products in all categories but it is in the merchant list. You may need to manually enable it. If you are signed in your merchant choices are generally persistent through subsequent builds.

Microcenter was previously included but was removed (fairly recently I think). This is a FANTASTIC move as Microcenter's website is arguably a scam / racket that just skews listings / trolls people. Almost nothing on the website is actually available for shipping, especially things people actually want to buy. They need to either start acting like an actual eCommerce platform or stop impersonating one.

The thing that has really trimmed the listings on PCPartPicker recently is the dropping of all marketplace sellers. These make up probably 75% of the products on sites like Amazon, Walmart, and Newegg. While I understand why they did this given the problems with marketplace sellers, not just fraud / scams but simply keeping track of them all; it has significantly reduced the function of the site in terms of an actual shopping as opposed to just a planning one.
