I'm attempting to see if I can use old equipment as a low resource environment to build a custom AI architecture.

The goal is to build an AI that's as resource light as possible, but with surprisingly modern capabilities by swapping processing between the onboard CPU and GPU.

I want to see how much capability I could squeeze into an AI living on old hardware IF it runs as an OS.

Currently I'm trying to test this by getting a rooted ROM onto a SM-T210R so I can rebuild the OS as an AI by turning down the noise and making a custom GUI, but I want to try to build it on the last known Lineage OS version that should have worked on the device.

The issue I'm running into is getting the tablet to play nice on Windows so I can get Lineage 14.1 loaded on it.

I work as an IT professional certified on Microsoft Systems, with NIST training, and while I'm familiar with Windows and Linux systems, as well as coding in python on android, getting the show started on this device has been a bit of a challenge for me.

Any help would be appreciated 🙂
