Worth dropping AHCI for caching?

Hello!

 

Just gonna list the ssd's/hdd's that I have first:

 

120gb SSD with OS etc

60gb SSD random games

3TB HDD storage

 

So I wanted to turn the 60gb SSD into a cache for the 3TB HDD storage drive (that also has games on it), and my question is if the loss of AHCI-mode is worth it just to cache my HDD? (since this will effect my bootdrive)
