I disagree, I don't think you can find a better deal in his budget range. I would be interested to know what problems you have had with them though.

They'd be a good product for about $40, imo. Unfortunately, the fancy packaging and accessories included with gaming headsets drive the price up.

I think you would change your mind once you've listened to some real headphones in that price range. It's not bad per say. but not as good as the other stuff out there. The Steelseries can't beat headphones like Superlux or Pioneer SE-A1000 in the same price bracket.

I probably need to branch out a little. I may order a pair of Superlux for use at work. I need an affordable pair of headphones and would like to give them a try.

Just stay away from the 681 non evo version. The highs on that model was apparently unbearable. They fixed it with the evo version.
