The power button on my case is broken and I had to put a screw driver against the pins first.

My case is no longer under warranty, corsair carbide spec-06, and I've looked on the corsair site and they unfortunately don't sell a replacement front IO panel/PCB which I can't find on ebay either.

So I'm currently thinking of trying to repair the button somehow but I am posting on here for advice or a site I haven't tried yet that is good for spare parts maybe.

any help is welcome, thank you!

Edit: I tried to remove the plastic shroud from around the front IO and the perimeter of the front of the case but 3 clips snapped and I backed out sooo instead I connected a 2 pin power switch labeled cable from an old case I no longer have but is that safe for the components to do?

I assume it is but I've never done that before so I'm not sure, thank you for all of the replies so far!

While you could possibly repair the current switch by getting creative and replacing the micro switch with a new one, it's likely not worth it. Most people would just pick up a new momentary switch and install it somewhere else on the case.  Search Amazon or another site for a momentary switch pick a style you like. Install it, wire it to the power pins. You can get wire harnesses, or splitters too if you don't want to cut or splice your case's wiring.

Can you solder? If so, can you post a photo of the IO board? We might be able to help you find a replacement button/switch (assuming it's not just broken plastic).

In the short term, hook up the reset button to the power button header on your motherboard.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

The path of least resistance would likely be to just get something like one of these. You might even be able to squeeze it in roughly the location the old button was in. As others have said the mechanism isn't all that complicated, the easiness of this job depends on how redneck you're willing to get with it.
