Hello all,

I am planning to build a pc in the future, mainly for gaming, this is my first build and I'm not yet that we'll known around pc parts and all, so I was hoping you could help me a bit, I would like to build a full tower, I would also like a lot of upgradeability in it, although at first I just want to be able to play current games hoping to max out some of them, I would like to spend between 600 - 800 euros at first (I live in the Netherlands) but any components that are in total that price in your region and dollars is also fine just want some ideas, I can get 1 120g ssd and a 1tb hdd out of my laptop.

Please help me with ideas for parts

For between 600-800 euros/dollars

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks!

(Sorry for the double post have a new phone :P)

800 Eur is about 1100USD right? so...

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($209.00 @ Amazon)

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.98 @ OutletPC)

Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($148.99 @ Mac Mall)

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($82.99 @ NCIX US)

Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card ($319.99 @ Amazon)

Case: Cooler Master Elite 431 Plus (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99 @ Newegg)

Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ NCIX US)

Total: $880.93

(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

(Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-06-08 11:58 EDT-0400)

My advice: wait for a few weeks so the 4690k come out and change the CPU to that, also it's far from the 1100 USD price point because I dont know about tax and stuff, so if you can change it to a GTX 780 or R9 290x it will be great, if not then this is fine.

And you said you already have storage, so I dont included it.

My rig: Intel Core i7 4790k | MSI Z97 PC Mate | GSKILL Ripjaws X 16GB 1866MHz | ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Seagate Barracuda 2TB  | MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 | Thermaltake Versa N21 | Corsair CX550M Semi Modular PSU | AOC G2460PF 144Hz | Logitech G502 | GSKILL Ripjaws KM780  | GAMDIAS HEPHAESTUS V2  PCPartPicker | Old Build Log | New Build Log

Try this. I used PCPartPicker for Germany because it's very close to Netherlands :D

I used the cheapest full tower, and it looks quite cool :D

Also, i put here a h87 mobo, but you should go with something like 4590 and h97, if you can find them cheap that is :D

I hope you know that GBP and EUR is different~

Either way, I know that tax and stuff will make the price sky rocket, so I keep it down to 800USD.

That gigabyte is a mini atx?font i get more upgrade options with standard atx?

Hmm... not really, depend on the board. Some ATX dont support SLI?Crossfire and even have less Sata compare to MATX. But usually ppl choose MATX or ITX for small build/case. So it's you to you whether you like your computer mid-big size or a really small one.

Yeah, Germany is rather close to Netherlands, and like i said, try looking into h97 boards :D

That rig should play all the latest games on very high settings on 1080p :D

It's better to go dual-channel, it's more stable that way. And that Mobo has 4 RAM slots, so if you go with 2x4Gb dual-channel now, and later you can add more :D

If i was you, i'd stretch my budget and go with 2x8 Gb dual channel :D

And yes, this build should be good for design and modeling, but not the best :D Of course, it won't be able to do some heavy design and modeling, but for moderate use it should be okay :D

yes if you plan to go 16GB then 1 8GB stick now and 1 later on is ok.

And if you got 4570 and a h97 mobo, how much would that be, because if the prices are the same, go with 5690, but if 4590 is more expensive, then go with 4570, the difference isn't that big :D

The shop where I checked the 4570 is more expensive 4570 = 172 4590 = 170
