So someone asked me to make a parts list for a gaming rig for £270 and I was trying to tell him that he might as well wait because a £400 gaming rig would be much better. Anyway I whipped up this list, I am not good at budget builds so... feel free to add suggestions and opinions.

meh, there is no point custom building in the sub £350 price range but yeah it looks.. okay for the price range.

APU, ouch. Tell him to save for at least a FX 6300 (or sth. equivalent) and a dedicated GPU like a GTX 750 Ti.

 

If he's okay with the graphical fidelity that an APU can provice though, he should go for it.

Get rid of the cooler and get more RAM instead.
