So I have a XFX rx6800xt merc black and my temps tend to be between 73-75 gpu and 95-99 hotspot, i tried undervolting in adrenaline software and got to 990mV but left the mhz sliders with 500-2400, and still got 72-73 gpu and 93-96, any tips to maybe lower the temps further or am i stretching it too far? I didnt lower the power limit, could that help or just make the gpu slower? oh and it stays at 2330mhz during Superpositon benchmark all i said above is tested in that. Thx in advance :3

Temperatures seem okay to me and within safe limits, the hotspot temperatures might seem very warm but its rather normal on these cards.

How long have you had this GPU, a repaste/clean might do some good and how is your case airflow?

It's repasted and cleaned 1 month ago, and the case is a montech air 903 base and it has a pretty big mesh front with 2 140 fans that push quite a lot of air, i have it for a year and something, but it's second hand and can't really remember for how long the other guy got it but it had worse temps before the repaste

The Montech Air 903 is a decent case.  What are the temperatures if you remove the side panel? If they are significantly lower, its a case airflow 'problem'.
Just give that a try.

You can also set a custom fan curve that is slightly more aggressive to keep temperatures lower at the cost of some noise.

But again, your temperatures are within safe limits and nothing I would personally worry about.

You are however testing the GPU during a heavy stresstest and gaming temperatures should sit a bit lower than what you are seeing in Superpositon.

I would have loved to be a case airflow issue but i tried without front panel and side panel, basically open testbench style, still same. Yea I know it's considered safe but yk I feel safer with lower temps, and I really don't like the noise of those fans they're quite noisy when they ramp up, they move a good amount of air but loudly, I'll try to test it in games but and i hope it's better. thx for help

For me undervolting doesn't really bring the temp down, power limit did.

With reduced power limit + undervolt + minor overclock my card actually got slightly faster compare to bone-stock but with much better hot spot temp.

well i just droped power limit to -6% and undervolted to 1030 and still same temps... i think my card just likes it hot ig

Update: got to 950mV and hotspot is now between 88-91 and I'm verry happy with this, power consumption is down to 200w, at least that's what adrenaline software tells me, with max frequency to 2422 actual 2350 i think this is the best ill get from undervolting

Haha.. My GGbyte card delta temp is ~40c at stock.

I lost like 2-5 fps which for me is acceptable. I will replace it with PTM7950 if I need more power but for now this is more than enough.
