Why not go Android?

Becaue everything just works on an IPhone :P

Ive been using an android phone for the last year and a half. Im kind of sick of that it lags awfully and that my beats  (yes i have beats, please dont annoy me about it, i love them) dont work with them, oh yeah and that the apps are way better on IPhone :P

PC Specs:  2x GTX 550 ti in SLI - Intel i7 2600k @ 3.4Ghz - Thermaltake Overseer Case - 8 GB Corsair Vengeance Ram - 1TB Harddrive - 500 Watt PSU that came with my old prebuilt pc lawl -  ASUS P8P67 EVO

Is it worth getting an IPhone 5 now or should i wait till the new one comes out?

If you really want an iPhone, i'd wait, the new one might be coming out soon. I've tried all the phones out there, and I landed back into an iphone after spending time with the s3.

Why?? Some people might find this annoying, but its because of itunes. I can organize all my music with it instead of using a folder based system with droids.

I still consider androids to be superior, I just chose the iPhone for that small thing.

Main Gaming Rig/Folding Machine: Core i7 3770k @ 4.7GHz / H100 with Sickleflow Fans/ Corsair 600t / XFX 6950 / 16GB DDR3

Folding/Media PC: AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE/ Fractal Design Core 1000 / 4GB DDR2

Ultrabook : Samsung NP530 Ultrabook.

I can't really preach about Android being superior as I have a 3GS. However, I got it 2 years ago and at the time Android really wasn't very good. I'll be upgrading soon (probably a Nexus 4). In the end if you want simplicity go with iOS, if you want customization go with Android

LOL! You double quoted! I'm not, I just have a chance to change phones because of phone exchange plans at local phone retailers. My phone would mysteriously have some sort of issue (if you know what i mean ;) ) then poof! New phone!

I would wait a few more weeks and see what the next version has to offer and then decide, whether or not it's worth it. At the very least you will be able to get the current model at a lower price. I did the same when the iPad3 was released. Got the iPad2 instead and saved 90€. I still use it at least one hour per day and do not regret getting the older one.

it lags awfully

My phone is 2.5 years old and JellyBean runs really well on it. It would only lag, if I were using too many widgets. Thing is, with the most recent versions of Android, I don't really need all that many widgets anymore. I've got the stock clock on my home screen so that i can quickly set an alarm and the calendar widget on my second screen. I'm using nova launcher and disabled all visual effects. It's super snappy now. The only thing that can take a second or two is opening certain apps but the iPad2 isn't any better in that regard and I can't really expect any more from a phone with a single core 1ghz snapdragon cpu and less than 1gb of ram.

I don't really play many games for gameplay anymore honestly. I play most games just for the graphics.

Its probably because my phone (Sony Experia Arc S) only has 1 core in its processor :/
