GPU artifacting problem?

Go to solution Solved by Imprezzion,

Chances are that GPU is gone mate. Those are typical defective VRAM on the GPU artifacts. I'm assuming you got it used?

these are my specs: XPG Adata DDR4 2x8GB RAM

AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT CPU

NVIDIA EVGA 1080 GPU

CORSAIR CX-M CX750M 750 W ATX 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Semi-Modular Power Supply

GIGABYTE B550 WIFI6

Thermalright 120 se heatsink

antec p10 flux case

operating system is 64 bit with windows 11

cant accsess bios version

So I boot up windows 11 on my PC with a usb stick and it boots up first try but then I use another USB stick to put in new drivers from the NVIDIA and AMD site and it artifacted bad (image 1 with all the white on the black screen)

I tried booting it up again this morning and it worked for about 4 minutes then it artifacted again (image 2) also on both instances i couldnt move anything on screen.

I was thinking its a new driver issue but I really dont know since I bought this GPU off of facebook marketplace.

Also after the first artifact I tried booting it up again but the gpu lights and fan didnt spin till like 5 seconds

I can answer any questions with detail if needed,

this is my first PC ever cause ive been gaming on my T430s laptop for fallout games but ive always wanted a desktop so any advice is appreciated,

THANKS

Are you only running windows from a USB stick? The artifacts do look like a possible GPU memory issue, but let's make sure everything else related is fine.
