Cant decide between these two cases

Go to solution Solved by jdsb52,

If I would decide to go with the cm storm trooper would it support the corsair h100i in a push or pull configuration? (not push and pull)

yes but note that you cant put the fans or the rad on the top of the case as the handle bracket gets in the way, just mount like normal really, inside!

I would like to upgrade to a case that is easier to carry, but still has a lot of room inside the case. after having the switch 810 for almost a year now, every time I have to move it, it is a pain. It is very awkward to carry because of the plastic at the top and fan filters at the bottom. I am afraid of breaking something every time I carry it. I am stuck between the corsair c70 black edition and the coolermaster storm trooper. What case do you think would be better to move around? I like both of these cases because they have handles and look like they both have a pretty good build quality. If I were to go with the c70, I would have to buy a clear side panel with out the fan holes. What case would you choose and why?

I mainly move it to LANs and around the house. I dont really want to get micro atx case because I like the size of the large towers because they are easy to work with.

Thanks!

I would go with the CM Strom Tropper or the Stryker it has the handgrip.

It features more room for Raditors etc.. you can even get up to XL-ATX in it later on, if you desire.

Also there is one that features a window if you fancy that.

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K 4,6GHZ OC MB: MSI Mpower z77  RAM: Kingston Genesis 1600Mhz CL9 16GB

GPU: ASUS R9 290 Direct CUII  PSU: Corsair AX 860

It's good to know you aren't one of these

Also you've already made a thread about this. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/163310-cant-decide-between-these-two-cases/

And there have been a couple other threads made recently about the Storm Trooper

I've heard from some people that the storm trooper has bad build quality and not so good cable management. Do you think this is true? I've always kind of thought corsair had better build quality in their line of cases

Never heard any of that.

Both Corsair and Coolermaster make good quality cases.

I like my CM Haf XB EVO it has pretty good build quality.

i got a trooper had it since march 2012, not bad quality at all, but there it does have limitations, handle bracket gets in the way of push pull at the top, HHD cages cant be removed as the fans attach to them and cable management is quite fine, just gotta take your time and be creative, the limitations is why im going with a Phanteks Enthoo Primo as part of my upgrade, hidden psu, the amount of support for cooling air or water everywhere, but the Trooper is still a good case!

I personally would choose the c70 and get the mnpctech window for it (lazy so can't be bothered modding my own window) as I like to looks over the cooler master options, and those cable management clips on the back are pretty nifty.

I think I will be going with the cm storm trooper then, I like the features it has and coming from a switch 810, I like full towers (easy to work with), and its only $150 on newegg.

Thanks!

From these 2, i would go with CM Storm Trooper. I have one myself. Spacious, multi fan option, ssd bay, good ventilation, can fit almost everything. If i had figure out a con, it would be (maybe) the weight?

My total setup is about 26 kilos heavy. The case itself is a high end stuff.

Does the handle feel strong enough to carry all that weight?

Does anyone know where I can buy a hafx psu cover? I've heard you can fit two of the covers perfectly (with a little cutting...) in the cm storm trooper. The problem is I cant find them in stock any where. Do you know anyplace that these covers would be in stock?
