Hey guys, so if you remember not too long ago Microsoft publicly stated that "PC Gaming was dead" until Valve kind of went "Our service is more popular than yours" and totally shut them up. Even so Microsoft really didn't care much for PC gaming still shutting down GFWL (both a good and bad thing) and not really releasing many of their games on PC. Now all of a sudden they want to support PC gaming again? I'm assuming this is because of the threat SteamOS poses to Windows as a gaming platform with in-home streaming. Better capabilities, no driver overhead, and Better in-game performance. Do you guys think this is all just fluff and Microsoft is just trying to coax people away from SteamOS and Valve or do you think they are actually committed to improving the PC Gaming experience? Seeing as they may sell off the Xbox they might need to shift focus regardless.

Microsoft wants to pull the entire gaming crowd to XBONE. Sales of the system have been pretty bad and of course they want to earn a bit of extra cash by porting to PC later, but they'd be stupid to publicly respect PC, otherwise they wouldn't lure peasants in more and more. :P But yeah, they want all the gaming attention primarily focused on the xbox and it's services.

I love StarCraft

Well with Valve publicly calling them out they don't have much to go off of to say the Xbox One is the preferred platform. I personally have never tried an Xbox One but with the lack of games I'd be willing to play I really don't think I'll buy one. I do have a controller for one though...

The XBOX one is a huge ripoff for a gamer. I like the idea for a family system, but that's it and even then it's overpriced. To me it's an overpriced netflix watcher, really. The power the ''next-gen'' consoles have is SO lackluster, graphically, games (except star citizen, holy shit) development will be held back because the systems are 1. new, 2. have really little power. Xbox one most of all, but it has more multimedia options, so I can see that being used in a household.

There was an objective reason to get a 360 and PS3 back in the day. Right now.. There really just is none except ''I'm ignorant.''

Bingo.

I think there are a lot of games that the PC has going for it that could put the nail in the coffin for Microsoft. Especially with SteamOS already getting The Witcher 3 and a port of BF4 in the future (even though it's utterly broken that's a lot of sheeple being pulled over to the light side of the force.) it seems Microsoft really doesn't have much to offer to bring people in. Well gamers in at least.

I think the Wii U is a much better family console for all intents and purposes. Nintendo games have a great multiplayer environment that make it much more enjoyable to sit down and play with friends and family. Plus most of their exclusives are quite good no matter how many Mario re-hashes there are there is at least one of them that's a good time sink.
