12700K downclocking while gaming?

That is the problem. At default settings, Intel CPUs will reduce speed based on how many cores are active. You need to overclock to go faster. Set all turbo ratios to the same value in the BIOS.

I am getting some very strange behaviour with my current PC build. I have a 12700k and at idle it is boosting to close to 4.888mhz boost as seen in the HWInfo screenshots provided. But in the screenshot I have Helldivers 2 launched and it is downclocking to 4.688Mhz and stays stable at this. I also have provided the temps to show it isn't thermal throttling. Is this some sort of power issue? I have done nothing in the BIOS CPU wise and have never overclocked. I've just thrown all of the parts together so I am very confused and appreciate any help.

My 13600K reaches different freq depending on the number of cores active.

One P core reaches higher than all P cores.

Also I can set the behaviour in the bios (I do downclock due to thermal restraints)(sorry for being in the picture).

I couldn't find where your 12700K is at.

Ah thank you my friend that makes sense. My cinebench score is pretty average for the CPU and I don't thermal throttle so I am happy. I was more concerned I had screwed something up and was getting less performance. I appreciate the help.
