The mic will be great.

 

Different headphones sounds different so what anyone likes is really subjective, try and find somewhere that'll let you try them out and listen to music you know well. Otherwise, some retailers specializing in headphones will give you a trial period and  refund you with store credit for returns if you decide you don't like the first pair. But if you aren't too fused about how they'll sound in music/games/movies they will work well.

Hard to say. 1 thing for sure, they will do the job. How good or how bad, depends on you entirely.

Still kinda tough. Are there worse options for gaming? Yes. Are there better options for gaming? Tons....

This. Also location would be helpful. Americaland is the easiest to help with because prices are lower here than most other places

Also I would discourage you from getting M40 if you need positional accuracy in games. There are likely better options out there even if positional accuracy is not a priority.
