Bf3 command thing won't close.

So I was sucking at bf3 and then when I died in a stupid way. (Throwing a grenade at glass and having the grenade come back in your face.)

Then I smashed my fist on my keyboard and well now there is a command thingy open that won't close it self. I can't close bf3 because it's been a while since there was a checkpoint. Halp me?

For me it's the tilda to open and close it. The squiggly thing like this ~

 

EDIT: If you mean the blue command line thing that is at the top of the screen.

press ` firmly, in the top left corner of your keyboard

Hit the tilda key or the squiggly as most people call it; looks like this '~'.

My console button is ` on both BF3 and BF4 I didn't change it, try pressing that. (top left of number row on main board)

Ah, the command console...like the others said. That would have been very easy to look up though. I found the answer in the second link in my first search.

use ` key its left of the number 1

Button should be on the left side of the 1 key on all regional layouts.
