Netflix Open Connect

My local ISP runs what i think is called a Netflix Open Connect. It seems like a micro CDN so Netflix traffic does not have to go off network for data. Do other services run something similar? Like HULU or even non streaming services?

Many ISP's run caching servers for Steaming services like Netflix. My ISP has a direct link to Netflix from what I read, but thats after they told Netflix to give them a bunch of money OR they were going to continue throttling Netflix traffic.
