gpu won`t post

hi everyone i need some help to solve some recurring issues i`ve been having for a while on my pc, my intel b580 gpu isn`t posting on my aorus a520 elite (rev1.1)mb and it`s been sending me crazy.

the problem is i connect my gpu to the first pcie slot and it simply doesn`t work but if i take the hdmi cable out of it and connect it to the mb it works just on integrated graphics, if i connect it to the second port instead it will post only that for some reason only on integraded gpu. i upraded to bios version f21 but it still made no difference, iv`e connected an old backup card into the fist slot jut to be sure and it still didn`t work, iv`e used a ddu to se if the issue was in the drivers but it still didn`t work, i resetted the bios through the cmos.

i litteraly clue on how to solve this can anyone help me?

Check in the bios and see if you need to manually switch the primary graphic adapter to dGPU.

What is the make and model of your old graphics card?

What CPU are you using with the A520 motherboard?

 

The Arc B580 requires a PCI-E 8-pin power connector; make sure that is connected before powering on the system.

1 i`m not completely sure but it`s a really old sapphire card

Are you able to get into BIOS menu, using integrated graphics,  and confirm motherboard is on BIOS F21?

 

If the old card no longer works, same with the Intel B580, I would inspect the PCI-E X16 slot.

Check for any signs of damage to the pins / gold contacts in the slot.

Upload a zoomed in picture of the PCI-E X16 slot if you can.

n 1 yes the fist thing i tried doing was updating the bios

So i think the third pin is damaged but im not really sure

Ehhh...looks like it.

PIN #3 is a main +12V Power pin, and looks like required to properly power the card. Motherboard thinks video card is not there.

Looks like the pin is still there, but it's got pushed in or something, so it's no longer making good contact.

I don't know if you want to try to get it repaired, or just get a replacement motherboard...
