Is this a screen issue?

I am seeing a halo around my laptop screen. It is an IPS screen of 1920x1080 resolution and 60hz refresh rate. The Laptop is 5years old. This is the first time I am seeing such a halo show up on a big screen. Is this a cause of concern? I don't intend to change the screen as it costs nearly half of the resale value of the laptop in the current condition.

Anyways, it's probably just IPS glow. It's not a problem unless it bothers you

Looks like one of them fabric keyboard / screen protectors on top, you can see a red glow in the bottom right, presumably a power LED

Yes, it's a laptop screen. The keyboard is covered as it's not used.

 

It doesn't shift places like IPS Glow does when you change the angle of viewing.

Bu durum IPS panellerde oldukça yaygın.
Köşelerde görülen beyazlık genelde IPS glow veya hafif backlight bleed kaynaklı oluyor.

Eğer bakış açısını değiştirdiğinde parlaklık yer değiştiriyorsa IPS glow’dur ve normal kabul edilir.
Sabit kalıyorsa panelden kaynaklı bir sızma olabilir ama çoğu zaman kullanımda sorun yaratmaz.
