Hello,

My PC suddenly crashes sometimes. It's been happening for a few weeks now, without any regularity. The computer simply goes black and shuts down instantly. I get no BSOD either.

I tried digging into it, and event viewer tells me the system lost power (Kernel-Power 41 (63)), so it shouldn't be a software issue (right?).

Things I have tried:

- temps monitoring and load test - temps are all good even at longer 100% loads. GPU hits about 82 Celsius max, but that still should be safe

- reseated all the PSU cables - seemingly no improvement

- paste change and general cleaning, just to be safe

It shouldn't be the wall socket or the extension cord's fault either, since I have another system plugged into the same cord (low power home server, about 25W), I also checked drivers just to be safe, but everything seems up to date, and as I said, it shouldn't be a software problem as far as I know.

What I think so far is perhaps a PSU issue? My PSU is only a year old, and as far as I've heard a reliable one. I'm also thinking maybe it's a GPU thing, since the RX 5700 XT is known for sudden power spikes, but it gets it's power from two separate 8 pin connectors and the PSU should be able to easily handle the draw.

What are your opinions on the matter?

Specs:
PSU: Seasonic G12 GM-750W
Motherboard: AsRock A520M-HVS
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
GPU: Radeon RX 5700 XT

Thanks in advance!
