Hello everyone!

I've recently built a rig and in my opinion its pretty dang good. My specs include a GTX 770, and i7-4770k at 4.0 ghz. and the rest doesn't really matter for this situation. I've had the rig for about 4 months now, and consistently I've been hitting exactly 60 fps on all my games. I'm not sure how to change it to go above. I've heard its something to do with Nvidia settings. Thanks!

The question is: Do you need more than 60fps? I dont think so.

But there might be a v-sync setting in the control panel. I would actually keep adaptive v-sync enabled.

In all games disable Vsync... you won't notice any difference since that syncs. (your monitor is 60 Hz, it'll display 60 FPS everytime, even if you get 180 FPS) with your monitor if you want more buy a 120 Hz monitor :D

The thing is, i do. I have a 144hz moniter with a 1 millisecond refresh rate.

But it wont let me go higher than 60hz in the settings...

Are you using HDMI? Some monitors come with old HDMI inputs that don't go higher than 60. Might have to buy a display port cable or see if DVI can go higher.

I do have an HMDI hookup. This is quite disappointing, not being able to have my 144hz monitor above 60hz.

^-This... I forgot about this

DVI-D Dual link and DP are your best friends for high refresh rates and resolutions

How do you tell whats DVI-D and what is a different kind of DVI? If such a cable exists as i dont know my monitor cables very well... xD

Display port is the next gen standard.  4K monitors require Display port connections.  Full digital and higher bandwith = higher resolution.
