I need help

Hi all,

 

I completed this build in January and have been troubleshooting intermittent full system freezes under gaming load (notably Destiny 2 and GTA and now Arc Raiders). During the freeze, video output locks up, audio degrades, and the system becomes completely unresponsive until I hard-reset via the power button.

 

Initially, the issue occurred 2–3 times per week. After testing, I replaced my RAM kit and the problem disappeared for several months but has recently returned.

 

Troubleshooting performed:

 

• Isolated and tested each RAM stick and slot
• Fresh Windows installation
• DDU clean reinstall of AMD GPU drivers
• Replaced 64 GB kit with 32 GB CORSAIR DDR5 6000 kit
• Reseated CPU, reapplied thermal paste
• Monitored CPU/GPU thermals (within spec)

         I’ve also checked all connections as well 

 

System specs:

 

• AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
• ASRock Creator Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB
• GIGABYTE B650E AORUS ELITE X AX ICE
• CORSAIR Vengeance RGB 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000
• SAMA 1000W 80+ Gold ATX 3.0 PSU
• CORSAIR H150i RGB ELITE AIO
• MONTECH KING 65 PRO case
• CORSAIR SP120 RGB ELITE fans

Latest BIOS?
Latest chipset drivers? 

Tried turning off the iGPU on the 9800X3D?

Does this happen with EXPO/XMP off and on?

as a trouble shooting step,

 

get a spare hard drive and reinstall the full OS. ( or full send and reinstall the OS on your drive anyway)

 

Install only what you need and test games, this will help with out of software issues. 

 

Ive seen crap in the past with people install bloatware or "mods" and other stuff that reminds me of lime wire days
