but i know it was an older lenovo think centre

The Lenovo think centre has some model number on the exterior of the case. It should help identify what are the specs of that particular machine.

now i cant change the power supply because its one of the pc's where the power supply is ingrated in the motherboard i also cant change motherboard because well i dont have an extra power supply

And I recommend you to not try to upgrade that computer. The case and peripherals probably use proprietary connectors and sizes that would make it nightmare to upgrade anything.

Another solution is to purchase another small workstation. Those used HP and Lenovo workstations are inexpensive and usually easy to find. They will cost less than a repair most of the time.

Is there important data stored on that PC that is not backed up ? Reading the storage drive to copy the data on another PC should be easy enough (unless the drive is dead but I doubt this is the case).

Good luck !

Hello i have a pc here which im not fully sure what is wrong with but i have a good idea i think it might be the power motherboard there is something wrong with

now here is what is happening the pc turns on and fans both on pc cpu and gpu turns on no weird sound or blinking of any kind but the screen does not turn on at all it just sits in an orange state i know the screen works because i use it for my own pc and there it works without a problem same with cable

i have tried turning on the screen manually, change channels on the screen tried using the motherboard HDMI tried using gpu tried taking out gpu, reseating ram, taking all cables out of pc, made sure nothing rattles in the pc, made sure that everything have contact and tried even reseating all cables in the pc even tried reseting cmos but nothing even as much as changes

now i cant change the power supply because its one of the pc's where the power supply is ingrated in the motherboard i also cant change motherboard because well i dont have an extra power supply so do any of you have any kind of idea of what else i could try or should i just say to the owner hey i think its about time to buy a new pc

what are your full system specs and if your cpu has an igpu try using that without your gpu.

Plus, some context to the situation - is it a new system, if it started out of nowhere, or after some long gaming session?
But it does sound like a dead GPU..

a pic of the board and system specs would help a lot.

Its an older system it started out of nowhere she turned her pc off then after a day or so when she needed to turn it on again it did not work i dont think its a dead gpu because even the integrated graphics dont work

I couldn't find the pc specs since it was not writen on the motherboard nor the GPU and i didn't wanna take off the cpu cooler because i didn't have any cooling paste left so couldn't see the cpu model either but i know it is an older system most like around like a 1050 kinda older

Do I get it right - it's a proprietary office PC and its internal design doesn't allow for much of a troubleshooting without getting physical?

i agree with you that this normally is the case she ended up getting a new pc because after hours of looking things up i found out it was not in the normal case either they bought it from some random person that had made fake promises of oh this is a great pc that would be able to hold all the space you would need and run at amazing performances yada yada yada

so we figured out what to do but thank you with the advice i will def try to keep that in mind in the future they never told me about anything important stored on the harddrive of it so dont think so otherwise i could easily salvage it they just tried to avoid buying a new pc because she only use it to run something like word and such programs
