Windows 11 Search bar not functioning correctly

Hey all, so recently my search bar on the desktop has just been a grey box and nothing appears when I search.  I can type, however, it's just a blank grey box.  Has anyone ever had this happen or knows a fix?  I've tried everything I can find online, but nothing has worked. (Restarting the search function in task manager, re-indexing the search feature, updating Windows, a couple CMD prompts).  Has anyone had this happen before or have any suggestions?

No lol, believe me ive tried that many times.  This has actually been going on for about 2 months now.

Repair or reinstall windows. You may be one of few people who might actually benefit from an SFC scan if you wanted to try something easy 

 

I've seen it many times but never after a reboot so repairing windows is probably going to take less time than finding a proper solution 

 

I lied - Try making a new user profile and see if you have the same issue

the new profile is a good idea, wont fix anything but could get some info
