I did not get a chance to try the 337.88 as it crashed both times I tried to install it, I have had a maybe 2 unsuccessful driver installs since moving to Nvidia. The general feeback on the Nvidia driver page is that it is giving users worse performance in a variety of games. Up to 50% less FPS. The thread is ongoing and I am would like to know if Anyone has had better luck with the latest driver

337.88 got me from 70 FPS on high in Battlefield (CTE) to 20 FPS on low.

Go back to the old one, this is very odd. don't know what went wrong

Well that's the catch with beta drivers right? It SHOULD work better that previous ones, but there is always a chance that on a particular system it is simply broken. Tht's why its "beta".

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Oh..This is a WHQL driver. I did not get to use it in any games myself, But I do recall quite a few DX9 and even DX10, and 11 games were getting hits to FPS. Like Left 4 Dead 2, and maybe some source games like team Fortress 2. Dragon Age origins was another I can recall. I would have to go though the thread. I only really read about 10 pages of posts but last time I checked there were about 50 pages Just for Diver 337.88

Zero issues, as usual with Nvidia release drivers. I question anyone who is having issues to see if they did a clean install, and to see if they are doing a manual update or an update via GeForce Experience. GeForce Experience is technically in beta still, so issues are bound to happen. I'd like to see the results of these people claiming to have issues after performing a full driver sweep and a full, clean, install. That should fix any issues. If there actual driver was bad, it would be affecting everyone, but that's not the case.

  • 2 weeks later...

Maybe They used Geforce Experience to auto-update and install. or those 3rd party driver uninstallers did not work right and it conflicts with something from an older driver. idk...I don't really care anymore. I am pissed about other stuff in gaming now.
