Budget (including currency): 200 USD

Country: USA

I have my PC completely figured out, but I'm lost on what desk to get.. I plan on having two monitors, both horizontal. PC also on the desk (if I don't have anywhere else to put, god forbid the carpet)

Anything but an L desk, my room just doesn't have a good spot for that.

It's simple math.

How much room do you need for the monitors?  For the PC case?  Speakers?  Anything else?  Buffer space?

Add it together.

Will that fit in your room?

I mean honestly, this is kind of a weird question to ask other people.

I'm just afraid to buy a desk, it arrives, put everything on it and 2 months later it's warping. I've heard that happen to some people.

24x2+9=57

That's just the length, I have no idea how much depth I'd need.

Good, thanks.

I use this... since Aug 2022, so 3 years now and no issues at all. No warping, up and down still work, it's solid.  2 5" Mackie speakers, a 35" UW monitor, massive mousemat, etc.

My sister complains about the depth, which is annoying. It takes a considerable portion of the room. I might compromise and go for the 55 x 24 version. I should be able to find some piece of wood to put the PC on. Thanks for the rec!

Update: I ordered the desk. It's going to be nice to have something that feels professional, at least on some level. It'll be here on the 3rd of November. Hyped!

Looks like you've already made your choice, but for the record, I am a big fan of buying used furniture including standing desks. There are some very high dollar options that wealthy folks discard for cheap (or free) just because they saw a newer model. Not guaranteed that you'll find one and you would need a truck to transport it but, when available, the options can be very rewarding.

Dreaming of the day when my brain cell doesn't betray me.

I actually plan to do that with other furniture, like dressers or shelves. I want to do an aquarium next year and they're pretty heavy at 20 gallons. MDF and all the cheap plastic stuff just can't handle that weight. Will definitely look out for some gems for my family PC setup though. Also, awesome pfp!

Hope it works for you.

I'm always surprised when people have tiny desks primarily lack of depth. One of the reasons I ordered a custom.

My current desk has 19 inches of depth, the monitor is slightly off the desk, but is stopped from falling by the wall. It would be a good study desk though.

Yeah, homework type of desk. My desk depth is like 35" enough to push my 32" monitor back enough with some free space at back and k&m having room.
