Psu smoke ?

Hi everyone, I was just doing my business playing outer wilds when suddenly I see smoke coming from the psu, I immediately closed everything and shut down the pc,

I have a rm750 corsair I've been running for almost 4 years I think 

Is it normal, what does it mean ?

Is it normal after 4 years ? Is it my fault or just sometimes it happens 

 

Also is a rm750x a good replacement ?

I have a ryzen 5600g a 3060 12g

16g ram 1t ssd

its not normal for it to smoke no but its happens for time to time. 

dont no what a good psu is these days . 

 

might be under warranty im seeing a 10 years warranty.

Correct, since you know it was smoking already I would under no circumstances power it on.

either use a different computer until the RMA is complete or swap the PSU with a known working or new unit.

I don't know if can do the rma ill have to check tomorrow, so I'm looking at options of new units, would you say a rm750x is a good fit? Also didn't know corsair dropped 80+, are cybenetics ratings reliable?

Cybenetics is quickly becoming new standards for rating on silents and efficiency. The 80+ was long in the tooth and not a good metric or standard anymore on modern PSUs.
